11yo: Sneakers, backup sneakers, crocs, snow boots, hiking boots (for scouts), water shoes |
|
8yo boy:
2 pr sneakers 1 pr sandals 1 pr mesh water shoes 1 pr rain boots 1 pr snow boots 1 pr soccer cleats 1 pr cowboy boots (long story....) It sounds like a lot, but they all serve very different purposes and he wears them all. Well, the cowboy boots don't see a lot of action - but they filled their intended purpose at the time! |

7 year old boy:
2 pairs of sneakers 2 pairs of Crocs (one is a "slide" and the other is a typical Croc) - year round swimmer, so we need shoes like this 1 pair of rain boots (we use these when kid goes on field trip which could be muddy, to a farm (which we visit a few times a year), exploring outside, etc. 1 pair of snow boots |
| 1 pair of sneaks, 1 pair of crocs, 1 snow boot. Sneakers get replaced maybe every 4-5 months depending on wear or foot growth. |
| 5 pairs of shoes for my 10 yr old son. Crocs, Keens, sneakers, snow boots, dress shoes. I love not buying 8,000 pairs of shoes like the moms of girls I know. |
| My 11 year old has a pair of sneakers and some flip-flops. I will probably buy him some snow boots this fall. |
|
wow. I guess we're overboard in the shoe department:
5 pairs of sneakers 2 pairs of Keens 3 pairs of Crocs Soccer cleats Baseball cleats rain boots Snow boots Hiking shoes Dress shoes yikes! That's 16 pairs. |
Same minus soccer sandals. What are soccer sandals? He trashes his main pair of sneakers in 4-6 weeks so we go through a lot of those. I am debating getting him some hiking boots because we are outdoorsy. |
|
1 pair sneakers.
1 pair flip flops. If the camp requires it, one pair of close toed sandals for "creeking." We didn't need that this summer. Rain boots. Snow boots. |
|
I have 3 boys. They each have:
One pair snowboots (Boggs) One pair cleats for soccer/baseball One pair sneaker One pair water shoes (keens) One pair slip on that act as their dressier shoe I see no need for rainboots. When it's warm and rainy they wear their keens. When it's cold and rainy they wear their snowboots (Boggs) |
|
My 9 yo has
1 pair of everyday sneakers 1 pair basketball sneakers (high tops) 1 pair of flip flops 1 pair rain boots (they've lasted several years. He wears them more in the neighborhood/weekends; never to school) 1 pair snow boots (bought those large too and are getting a few seasons out of them) 1 pair soccer cleats. 1 pair merrills as dress shoes He really wears his everyday sneakers most of the time, even in the summer! |
