OP - A couple of thoughts that besiides her "stuff", you might want to bring a few sensible things to put furniture together, hang wall items, etc. Also do some research on whether there will be actual vendors selling some things that college students want to have now such as carpeting, small refrigerators etc. right on campus to avoid running around. Still do some research on the closest Big Box store and Food store that you might go to for needed things. Good luck - a dorm room is a lot easier than to get a college student settled into and then packed up from an apartment in Boston!!!

DH is right. Flights to Boston are usually cheap, especially if you get just a one-way for DD. Time to start letting go....

Sounds less stressful to me. Check flights into Providence or Manchester, get a rental, and have stuff shipped to the hotel.
