Yes, it's appropriate today, because today is Eid. I, nor my family, nor the DC Muslim community, is any more responsible for Chattanooga than you are responsible for the gunning down of a black Bible study group. I doubt you "toned" down your BBQs, your birthdays, your dinners in the wake of that tragedy. And by asking Muslims to cower in the face of terrorism, by asking all Muslims to be held responsible for the actions of ONE, we let the terrorists win.

That is all. Eid Mubarak. I'll pray for you, too- that you learn some compassion and have a better understanding of your fellow Americans.
