I am concerned, but also know that my worrying won't help things. We have one child @ gm and another who hasn't yet started. We love the school and would be very disappointed to get zoned out. That being said, I would have to see where we're zoned into, if there's a change...I'm certainly hoping the redistricting doesn't mess with us, but am trying not to stress about forces outside of my control.

The push is for neighborhood schools so it would seem fool hardy to move kids in these neighborhoods to other schools. Even if you get rezoned, the other options near you are good - Barrett and Maury.

I think the people who need to be concerned are those living in Rosemont within a stones throw of J-H as well as those who are near the Masonic Temple and go to MacArthur. It seems logic they will try and extend out the boundary for JH. I wouldn't be surprised if they moved all of Old Town into J-H and made Lyles-Crouch a pure lottery school.

We are less than a mile from Maury and George mason. When is registration for Kindergarten usually?
