NY to CO as a pre-teen with family. We did a northern pass one way and a southern pass the way back. Saw lots of places and did lots of things, some interesting, some not. St. Louis arch, Mississippi River paddleboat, Wyoming dude ranch, Yellowstone, Crazy Horse, Deadwood.

I took four weeks off work at 24 and drove from DC to a friend's wedding in LA. I stopped at Santa Fe and the Gtand Canyon on the way there. Then I drove up the coast to See a friend in OR, visiting Monterey, Napa, redwoods, Crater Lake.

My dad flew into Portland and we drove back east together via Rocky Mountain National Park and visiting family in the Midwest.

The whole trip was amazing and I learned a lot about myself. Listened to music and enjoyed the scenery and saw many wonderful people. I will always look back on that trip with fondness.

As a kid, we drove from Death Valley to Sequoia. It was incredible - going from the craziest dry/hot scenery to 5 feet of snow in one state. As an adult, I drove from Calgary to Banff and that was quite memorable as well. Fun thread!

I was also amazed by the beautiful scenery driving through New Zealand. Especially the South Island.

The Lewis and Clark route from St. Louis to Oregon. Also, Memphis to New Orleans -- in a high school history class this year my DS was the only one who had been to Vicksburg, MS, or even been to the state of Mississippi.
