Throw the vacuum cleaner outside in the trash and lock the doors.

turn on vacuum for a bit to make sure roach is in the bag, not crawled out into the hose, etc
turn off vacuum and immediately take out vacuum bag
quickly put vacuum bag in plastic garbage bag and tie it off
take to outside garbage can

fun with roaches!

LOL! Perhaps douse yourself with the dish soap after doing all of the above. At least that way, if it does get back in the house and on you, it will die in no time.

All over Texas, and starting a march and/or flight across the states to come attack you, PP! Lock and seal your doors and windows with dish soap ASAP!

That roach will be creeping out of the vacuum cleaner, for sure. It won't have a mark on it.

And yeah, those things are everywhere in Texas. Was this one of the giant flying ones? Those suckers fly right at you.

Yes it is that kind! So annoying

I ran the vacuum for a while, then put some soap over plastic wrap and attached it to the end of the vacuum tube.

So nasty.

I am from DC and not used to cockroaches. I knew these arent the nasty ones you find in the east but theyre still ick

He's toast.

I used to do this as well to kill larger-type bugs.

Only because the thought of actually squeezing them to death freaked me out big time.

It was an easier option for me to simply suck them up w/the vacuum hose.

And they went away and died? Did you ever do a cockroach- I know cockroaches are pretty indestructible..

Maybe they took the hint that they were unwelcome.

Maybe this is what people should do to their inlaws. Vacuum them up.

LOL OP.

I used to live in Texas (Houston) and know just what you're talking about. I had one fucker fly right at me in the middle night when I was up attempting to eat a snack. Took everything in me not to scream and wake the entire house.

Be sure to first suck up the maggots that are in the trash can....

for OP

Don't put liquid soap in a regular vacuum cleaner. I have, after sucking up the occasional gnarly looking spider, sprayed some bug spray into the hose while the vacuum is running. That made me feel better.
