What does DCPS manage well?

DCPS has nothing to do with school construction.

Are you perhaps trying to make excuses for him? Is he your exception, PP?

No, Captain Obvious, the point is that the culture of ineptitude and malfeasance is deeply embedded. The fact that the Director is not part and parcel of the Barry legacy is irrelevant.

Well Colonel Oblivious, stop trying to make Barry responsible for all of DCs woes. He wasn't when he was alive, and he certainly isn't now that he is dead. On a different note, on the Virginia school forum they were having a similar conversation about the malfeasance of the renovation of FCPS. Specifically, how one high school was renovated for more than 69 million and another high school has torn ceilings and broken toilets with lno immediate plans for renovation.

How many charters have been closed? How much money did that entail.

Look, Muriel and Adrian both possessed zero qualifications to be mayor. Bowser is a bureaucrat who couldn't read a balance sheet if it walked up and kicked her in the rump and Fenty was a professional triathlete who dabbled in mayordom.

Here's another article on D.C.'s mismanagement of all of the DCPS renovation projects -- the general contractor hasn't accounted for how it spent the taxpayers' money -- it's so shameful, this is the kind of thing that motivates congress to take back oversight of our public projects:

This is taking me back to the Fenty days when contracts were being directed to his Frat bothers. Will will DC ever get it together.
