| The Gregor the Overlander series. |
See, none of mine liked the dogs, one liked the bears, but everybody liked the cats. |
| My 11 1/2 year old LOVED the Hunger Games trilogy- he finished all three books in 5 days. |
| John Chrisham series about the lawyer kid. Very good. |
| It's older, but The Dark is Rising sequence is great. The first book is Over Sea, Under Stone. One of the main characters is an eleven-year-old boy. |
| NP here. Can anyone suggest any science fiction for this age that is NOT fantasy? My kid equates fantasy with girls but I think he'll enjoy some straight-up sci fi. I just bought the Maze Runner series hoping that it appeals to him but he hasn't opened the box, yet. |
Hunger Games The Giver |
Ender's Game Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy |
Hmmmm, I would try Robert Asprin's Myth series. Lots of double entendres and innuendos, but most will go over his head, and it's full of humor. Combination sci-fi/fantasy too, so it might open the door to fantasy. |
| My 11yo is currently reading through all the Halo novels (from the Xbox game series). He seems to like them quite a bit. |
