How do you wash berries?

This sounds like a great idea before eating the berries, but you shouldn't wash berries until right before you're about to eat them. Washing them and then putting in the fridge actually makes them age more quickly--or at least that's what I've been told by folks who work at farms when we pick our own. Not sure if this is the case for pre-washed grocery store berries.


Agree. The benefit of the vinegar is outweighed by the effect of the additional water. Tour fridge, even if meticulously clean, has plenty of new bacteria and mold that will get on them.
