I still don't see what this can do for a person who feels they've exhausted every last resource. It seems like a band aid. Would love for someone to explain how or if this is actually effective.

Take a look at the website and educate yourself. People who are coming here to tell others that they plan to kill themselves are SCREAMING out for help.

But what do they expect a bunch of anonymous internet users to do? What do they expect Jeff to do? This isn't facebook.

I also think it was pretty wrong to accuse Jeff of being responsible if this was a real situation (I read her update, still not convinced) and something happened. This isn't his responsibility at all.
