Vinyl tiles are nothing but trouble because there is no reliable way to seal the seams between them. I have had sheet vinyl in my kitchen for more than 10 years and most people assume it's ceramic, just because it's a neutral color and they're not paying attention. Nobody is going to notice the floor in a powder room. |
I have a sheet vinyl in my kitchen. We put it down as I couldn't decide what I wanted and we needed something. Love it as its so easy to clean. So, it stays. |
I would use the schluter ditra system...thinner than traditional concrete board and made for this exact purpose. Go with tile...much better for a powder room. |
I bought a house with vinyl and it's easy to clean and looks like real tile - I like it just fine. But if I was putting in a new floor, I'd go for real tile. |
