Do you get carded?

I just stopped getting carded recently - 41 - I'm short with a baby face. I had a rough 2-3 years at 37 and it aged me a bit.

Yes but its not because I look 18. Many servers and bartenders automatically card as a practice, so don't flatter yourself op

Same here. Although, seriously, if I'm wearing something casual, I look like a freaking teen (face only, body is all middle-aged woman )

Yup, 39 and depending on apparel some people think I'm a teen. Every now and then random new co workers gives me a disappointed look when they find our I have a 7 year old as if I was teen parent.

I am 43 and get carded periodically.

I turned 40 earlier this month, and almost never. I think there is a grocery store around here that requires the cashier to actually enter the birthdate into their register when selling alcohol--that's the only time they ask for my ID.

I am 51...in poor health, and sometimes get carded. But those are places that card everyone...EVERYONE. Wegmans, Whole foods in Fairlakes...

I'm 48 and get carded sometimes, even at places that aren't carding anyone. Like a PP, I'm short with a baby face. I can't even take pleasure in it, though, because they usually spoil it by saying something like "wow, you're a lot older than I thought!" Um, thanks.

I'm 32 I don't drink but I do buy lottery tickets I get carded a few times a year.

30, and yes about 90% of the time. But I am super short and looked like I was about 13 until I was about 20. Not as awesome as I hoped it would be at this age.

I am 46 and sadly...My carding days are over.

The last time I was carded was three yrs ago.

Now...Sadly I don't even get a look as if the person is contemplating carding me.

It's pretty much a given that I am middle age.

*sigh*

You loved that? For your son's sake, please seek help.

39 and rarely get carded. Friday's was known for it for a while. I was at Wolf Trap last night with a friend who is 35, and neither of us got carded. I don't look 39 but I don't look under 30 either.

I could care less if I get carded. However, at a Wizards game earlier this year, my friend who is over 55, got carded for booze. He has kids over 21, so naturally, I got carded. This was at a counter (as opposed to a vendor). My dad who is in his mid 60's finds it insulting if gets carded and has walked out of restaurants for that reason, alone.

I am 43 and I get carded fairly often. I don't think it's because I look young (I certainly don't look 20!), I think it's just standard practice at a lot of places.

This is exactly what happens to me. I actually don't find it flattering at all. I feel infantilized.
