It's a nice thing, but not very selective. DC is in a MS CEnter, and 560 members of his class (out of approx 700) were inducted.

Wow. It is interesting so many both received the required GPA and also went to trouble to fill out the application....

It is not much better in HS, 40% of DC's class was inducted into NHS.

PP here: DC's school is 70+% AAP and a top TJ feeder, so I knew there would be a lot, but I was shocked too. These kids (and their parents!) don't screw around. It's been an eye opening year. (Also, I think the kids get the .5 weight added to AAP and Gen Ed honors classes, which helps).
