There was just heaps of stuff everywhere- no care taken with any of it. When the financial troubles surfaced, the first thing they did was yank the kids out of private school -- which is expensive, but really I suspect many other expenses could have been cut before that one.

It was like lord of the flies in Cinderella's castle.

...and remember the dead fish because no one thought to feed them.

Right! I can't imagine any kid in that household had their emotional needs being met.

I found her rather pathetic. She was dying for affection from her husband, but he was checked out. But she was part of the problem because she was overspending when they needed to cut down. I wonder if they were able to repair their relationship a bit.

I felt bad for the kids, but I got the sense the nannies loved them a lot. Mom too, but she was so flighty. Very sad for their family.

I killed a hermit crab by forgetting to feed it

Come on, now.
How many of your children's funerals have you attended?
My sister wore a bright orange dress to her son's funeral because he loved the dress.
And I took a picture of my mother's casket because I though the altar looked beautiful with all of her flowers.

Judge not.

I saw that and was extremely distributed that she took pictures and had a drink of pop or something. Her boobs were hanging out.

Her husband looked shattered and she looked, well, not so much.

That's a lot of smiling for your daughter's funeral.

I remember that little boy was so neglected he was crawling into bed with the nanny. That was so sad. They are really messed up people.

I've attend my husband's funeral, which would be a slightly more appropriate place to have your boobs hanging out and yet I did manage to cover them and not slurp a drink. The photo thing is not weird to me.

And she was his stepdaughter. The mother is a nightmare. Watch the Wife Swap episode.
