| Georgetown Hill Early School on Bells Mill Rd, between Bells Mill ES and Cabin John MS. Both my kids attended and we thought very highly of them. Care is available from 7am to 6:30pm. |
| Geneva has space in a few classes. They have an all day class for 4 year olds and you can add before and after care. We've been there several years (multiple kids) and love it! |

As the former Kindergarten teacher at St. James Children's School I felt the need to clarify a few assumptions that were made about the circumstances under which I left the school. In January of 2016 my husband received a promotion at work that would require him to commute and be equidistant from both Baltimore and Pennsylvania. Our family moved to Carroll County in April of this year.
It was with a heavy heart and great sadness that I left my position at St. James. St. James was more than a job to me as it is to most if not all of its employees. It was my home for almost 10 years, the place where my children grew up and the staff and families were our family. It saddens me that the hurtful, ugly, and sometimes misguided words of a few people are giving my family and my home such a bad reputation. I want to reiterate what has been said before, go to the school and visit. See for yourself what a wonderful, loving environment this is. Then make your decisions based on your experiences. You won't regret it. Love to all of my SJCS family, Ms. Courtney |
| Courtney, you were an amazing teacher. I'm sad that things have changed so much since you left. It's not the same. |

We had our child at St. James and it was wonderful! Absolutely loved it. DC was more than prepared and ready for kindergarten this year. Much of that was attributable to Miss Sonia, Miss Rebecca and Miss Courtney, none of whom are at the school any longer.
Having said that, there were some things that happened at the end of the last school year that left a very bad taste in some folks' mouths and honestly, put a stain on the wonderful years we had at St. James. Families who planned to stay did pull children out because of these things. I really do hate to say this, but I am glad we left when we did. I would not have felt safe with my kid there any longer. The school was well aware of the situation and I'm sure they have addressed things so they do not happen again. Please visit and see what you think for yourself. I would also recommend talking to other parents. It was a warm, lovely, wonderful school when we were there. |
+1. Great school. It's at Bradley & 7 Locks. |
| We started at St. James this summer and are very happy there. |
