Tracy Morgan on Today Show

Do limos even have seatbelts in all spots? I'm guessing they probably do but they are tucked in. I've never worn a seatbelt in a limo. I've never worn one on a bus either - public busses don't have them in my city.

Wonder if Walmart would have settled so quickly and with a proportionally as large amount for a "normal" person?

Doubtful.

While I feel sorry for him, I still blame him for not wearing a seatbelt. Big mistake.

I'm not sure if seatbelts would have helped all that much:

The car flip a few times too.

Yes, let's blame the victim. Please rememnber this when you become a victim of any kind. I'm sure there is something that you could have done that would have prevented your loss and or injury.

I honestly think he had his attorney with him because he has a traumatic brain injury and looked like he was having trouble remembering things.

I disagree. I think people should always wear seatbelts. Period. Had he worn a seatbelt, he likely would not have been injured as badly. That's just commonsense. I suspect he won't ever make that mistake again.

...and part of the settlement agreement includes saying nice things about Walmart, which the attorney clearly stepped in to do at the very end since Tracey likely forgot to do it.

It's possible, but the back was completely torn off that car. I suspect his friend that died was sitting at the very back.

So you are saying every time you ride a bus and EVERY time you've been in a LIMO you have worn a seatbelt? Bull shit.

I think he's talking about a tragic event. I don't think he is "damaged" permanently as a comedian as some of the posters above are saying.

Wow. I really appreciate the way he thanked the hospital staff and admitted to being a pain at times. Thank God his family was not in the car.

Then you don't have much experience with people who have suffered TBIs. If he's still like this a year out it doesn't look good.

I wanted to bump this thread. Tracy Morgan looks back to his old self on the recent SNL skit:

Pretty incredible recovery from a TBI. I loved Alec Baldwin's line, "This one won't be an athlete, but he'll be hilarious."
