Worst End of School Year Mom

OP, this post makes me laugh every time I read it and it gives me a boost. It's reassuring to know that other parents are feeling a bit depleted at the end of the school year.

I'm a little surprised that it rubbed others the wrong way, but I guess we all have different senses of humor. I personally didn't take the specific details seriously, and I don't think that was the author's intent.

I loved this one! So good to see it again.
The last two weeks I have been emptying the papers from the book bags in the car at drop off, and then trashing them.
Yeah, I am so done.

Why do they do all this costume stuff and colored shirt stuff? We did none of that in the 80s. The only homework my mom ever helped with (half assed and pissed off) was a salt map in 4th grade. Once I asked her to bake cookies for a PTO bake sale and she sent me with Oreos.
