I would be annoyed by that, too. I have received that type of response from my SIL and it is rude. I would never respond to her that way. A couple of years ago I started copying all of her family on emails where I am replying to something rude that she has written (when it makes sense, of course, which it usually does because we're discussing plans that the whole family will be a part of). I'm never snotty, but will just say something like, Great, we look forward to seeing you! Although I think the kind of gentle ribbing that a pp suggested, with a big LOL and smiley face, would be okay too and I may incorporate that some time in the future.

It's a bit rude, but it also depends on the way she says it. Depending on her tone, she may just mean "yes, because we are free."
