Dynamite was last years song, Taio Cruz

Dynamite came out in 2009! My kid who just turned 11 was OP's kid's age and loved it.

My 5 year old daughter loves Taylor Swift and Katy Perry. Even my 18 month old gets into it when Dark Horse comes on. In the last year my 5 year old was obsessed with Maroon 5 "Animals", Sia's "Chandelier", Ella Henderson "Ghost", Lady Gaga "Applause." She was very ambivalent toward that stupid Uptown Funk song.

My 18 month old hilariously loves anything with Pitbull so maybe try that too.

Uptown Funk is fun, but at the same time they're saying "Uptown Funk You Up" which is too close to "f you up," thinking it's clever but it's really not.

We also listen to Pandora a lot. The "Katy Perry radio" station is good (it's not all Katy Perry, but in that genre.)

Which one is the Katy Perry station?

Agree with all the comments about Kidz Bop, Pandora, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift

It is literally called "Katy Perry Radio."

Sorry, we have boundaries and standards.

I had to look up the lyrics to uptown funk, because it sounds like "put some nigger in it" NOT the actual lyric of "put some liquor in it"

I kept thinking "WTH? The kids are allowed to hear a song with the n word like it's no big deal?"

Yep - my 8 year old son likes same. One addition would be the ubiquitous Uptown Funk. Also, look at any recent Kidz Bop album and then find the songs that those songs massacre.

Brother is actually by NEEDTOBREATHE, featuring Gavin Degraw.

I hate Kidz Bop. Let your kids experience real music.
