Wish wife would dress more sexy

Sue me, but this is what I find attractive. My wife refuses to branch out from cardigan land with flats. I feel like flats look like crap on women unless they are super model thin and tall. Just sucks to find all my attraction directed elsewhere. Ugh! I want to focus on her, but she won't show the skin.

The moment your wife decides to dress like and other men notice, I bet you wouldn't like it one bit. #truth

Wrong! I love when other men get jealous. Huge ego booster. I actually hate when my wife fails to turn heads.
You sound like a very shallow and insecure man. I hope you wife is protecting herself financially, because you are the exact type of scumbag that trades for a younger model down the road.

Do straight men even know what flats are?

Supply and demand babe. I see tons of 20s and 30s gals on the hill wearing sky high heels. If they can do it, why can't others?

Because I used to but now I am carrying your kids around and if they throw their weight back in the slightest we would all eat it.
So I am keeping the safety of me and our kids priority over your desires.

Bait and switch, sucker. You're not an Alpha, so your wife doesn't have to bother looking sexy anymore.

i can always divorce her though. and she makes twice what i do. since we don't have any kids i could buy a land rover with my 1/2 of our settlement and then upgrade to a 28 year old who is willing to show more leg...

You're terrible at math if you can't see that you would be a lot better off riding the gravy train and getting the benefit of her income every year rather than getting a one time payout. But sure, divorce her because she doesn't dress the way you would like. She would be so much better off without you.

That was my first thought too.

No way a hot-blooded straight man wrote that.

My husband wouldn't even know where to find DCUM, much less post on a fashion board!!

Most husbands are happy to save the sexxxy and the nooky for the bedroom (or the kitchen or living room, what have you).

Where I live, if I busted out with a crop top I would be the laughing stock of the neighborhood and an embarrassment to my husband. But we are in a high SES so a 40-something mom dressing like a 20-something "babe" would be seen as a sign of mental illness.

Seriously. What straight man writes a post about wanting his wife in "high-waisted shorts"? Haha.

I swear I am a 32 yo male. I notice the way your daughters (in their 20s) dress. It's far better than the way my 37 yo wife dresses. And yes men know what flats are. We hate them.

I agree. I don't know any man who can say high-waisted shorts and crop top and know they are back in fashion.

She might want to appear in more sexy clothing if you learned the difference between adjectives and adverbs. What a turnoff!

Wait, you want your 37-yo wife to dress like she's in her 20s? Gah.

Strange dude to be posting in a girly section.

My DH hates flats and cardigans too, btw. I'm not a fan either--but I'm very active with boys so I compromise during the week.

For nights in the town or neighborhood parties- I'll bring out the sexy. I will not to kids' sporting events, the park and grocery runs---or work since I WAH.

At a concert last weekend with lots of HS and college girls, my confused 34 DH said to me, "Man, these weird hybrid between mom jeans and hoochie shorts are an odd style". I mean I know he didn't mind the bum parts being half out- but its not the most flattering style. I nearly spit out my drink laughing.

Am I the only woman whose husband doesn't especially notice or care what they're wearing? I mean of course he likes and notices lingerie and low-cut tops but beyond that I don't think he notices what type of shoes I was wearing or if I was wearing a skirt or pants or what. He can barely get himself dressed in the morning half the time.
