I am very convicted about the death penalty. I don't feel like this guy should be put to death. The only time I think it's an almost acceptable sentence is when there's a pattern of torture and murder, like a serial killer.

I don't oppose the death penalty in principle, but I'm not a fan of it in practice because there's just about no doubt now that we have executed innocent people. The system is broken.

However, in this case where there was absolutely zero doubt that he committed the crime, I just can't feel that broken up about it. As others have pointed out, it won't happen for a long time anyway.

Absolutely. This is well known. Bostonians are as nice as can be, until you give them reason not to be. This guy better sleep with one eye open; even that won't save him from himself.

Guy will be in solitary at a Supermax. That is secured from other inmates but worse than death in my opinion, plus with death he gets to be a martyr.

The death penalty is for places with no regard for human life, like the US and Sudan. By administering this punishment we put ourselves on the same level as these people, and we should try to rise above.

He's so young. I don't believe someone so young should get the death penalty. And had his brother lived, he would never have been given the death penalty.
