This is a good sign and she'll probably be o.k. I know someone who did the same thing and she was fine after a few days. At least physically. Does she have people with her to help her? She needs help for her depression or else she could do it again.

As she attempted suicide, it is likely that the hospital has sent in psychiatrists to assess her and will recommend that she spend some time on the psych ward once she is medically stable.

Am the PP with who posted earlier about a family member, who did not want to go to the psych ward. Someone from the state was brought in to say if they did not go willingly, the state would commit them, an option that limits the possible psych wards to those that accept people who are unwillingly committed. As this is not a good option, family member was convinced to go along with a willing stay on the psych ward.

I don't know her well personally, but am totally shaken up and sad about what happened and really wondering about her prognosis for recovery. Don't know if I'll be sleeping much tonight. The scene was just a horror and it's hard not to replay in my mind.

Np - Just wanted to add, you are a wonderful attorney. Shows the true reason we are called counselors.
