Slomin's alarm driving me insane

I was told in order to turn armed security system off you must do two things 1. unplug from the electrical outlet the adapter plug, and 2. disconnect the backup battery located in a light colored box mounted on the wall (mine was in basement utility room) the wire from my security system went from a nearby closet thru the floor to basement. That's where I found it the electrical plug. Once I unplugged both items, electrical plug and the backup battery in the box the entire security system went dark off.

Finally turned it off after 2 years. Called Solomon and followed two instructions they gave me. Solved the problem in 10 minutes.
1.
- There is a large panel box (about the size of a first aid kit box) attached somewhere relatively hidden in the house. Most likely place is a Closet. Lots of wires coming out of the box.
- when you open the panel you will see a large black 12V battery. Remove one of the battery wires. That disables this panel.
2.
- look in the garage / basement / any other hidden corner of the house for a large Black Adapter directly plugged into an electrical outlet.
- simply remove the adapter from the outlet wall

Once these two boxes are disconnected the power to the keypad and system is off. The lights on the keypad will go off.

Wtf, rip that shit out of the wall.

The battery is in the box. Unplug it from wall. Take out screw in the top it’s very small. Then take cover off by using a screw driver in the grooves on the top and disconnect battery

In my case I found the Solomon’s control panel in the basement. I unscrewed the control panel cover. Disconnected the red and black terminals to backup battery.
There was an adaptor plugged into the wall socket powering the whole system. I unplugged it. The whole alarm system went dead without destroying anything.

Thanks - I have the same problem. However, the black adapter has two wires coming out of the bottom and going into the wall. Should I cut the wires after I unplug the adapter?

Just rip out whatever is chirping. If it’s the box by the door, just take it down and put a blank switch plate.

I'm not kidding. I cannot find the wires or the battery back up to save my life. Will recheck all closets per previous poster.

lol. I'm sorry OP. FWIW, I feel your pain. I had ADT and it just chirped randomly after power outages and ADT never fixed it even when we WERE paying them. It was horrible

Same! It was awful. It continued after we cancelled. We eventually had to rip the thing out from the wall. Of course it ONLY went off at 4am.
