Baby face exfoliation suggestions

Soft flannel cloth + warm water is ok.

Exfoliate has a very specific meaning, you can't blame people for being alarmed if you use that word.

I lightly wipe my baby's face with a wet baby washcloth in the tub, then apply a thin layer of a compound lotion my doctor prescribed that has hydrocortisone in it, Vanicream. It's been very good at treating her eczema.

Just use a soft wash cloth and some warm water

For milia (white dots) you can use a q tip with breast milk, the lactic acid will gently exfoliate. or you could use sterile pee from the babys diaper on a q tip. the uric acid will gently exfoliate. or, just leave it and the skin will eventually push out the white dots. eczema - i would leave it or use a dab of coconut oil and a qtip. rub small gentle circles. -im a licensed master esthetics instructor

Coconut oil works wonders. Gently massage onto skin, let it sit a bit, then wipe with warm washcloth. It may take a few days.

Mustela foaming baby shampoo, leave on for 2 minutes and than rinse off with water and dab Aveeno on. It is a miracle.

With eczema, you don't want to rub, scrub, or irritate the skin. Let it air dry for at least half an hour before you put lotion on. I liked putting a tiny bit of coconut oil after the half hour of airing out. I'd let that absorb for an hour, then put on whatever Rx cream we were using.

Our doctor said we should put lotion on right away, while skin is still moist.

Isn't flaxseed oil estrogenic? I'd be a little careful with this.

For cradle cap I lathered up with coconut oilthen, let it sit a while, then very lightly used a baby hairbrush on his scalp to release the oily flakes. I also put some coconut oil on his forehead and usesd a really soft washcloth. I only wash with water typically, but you'll need baby shampoo to get the coconut oil off.

Is it cradle cap or eczema? Our doctor suggested head and shoulders (very small amount) for cradle cap and suggested letting a little rinse down her face. It worked wonders, but I would imagine this could aggravate eczema. The doctor advised against picking, scrubbing, or trying to pull off the scabs from the cradle cap as the skin underneath could be very tender or bleed.

Vaseline worked wonders for our son.

I would use Jergens milks and a baby washcloth. It helped with breakouts and baby acne. For eczema, use warm water and try just a little dab of coconut oil to moisturize.

How are you sure the pee is sterile with how many chemicals are in a diaper? I think I'll have to pass on rubbing urine on my child's face for the sake of vanity.
