If you won $1 million, but had to keep working at anything you wished - what would you be doing?

Great question! I'd be a children's librarian in a DCPS school.

OP, would you post the name of the career revamp book you're reading. Thanks and good luck with your revamping.

It's a new book, I think on the bestseller list, called "Career Renegade: How to Make a Great Living Doing What You Love" by Jonathan Fields.

I have to admit, I'm only on chapter 1, but it's a pretty easy read and he's intentionally light on the fluffy frou frou stuff.

I'd like to become a financial adviser to women going through divorce. Help them think through all their options for increasing child support, setting up money in trusts, putting them in touch with community resources, etc. I've found there are plenty of lawyers who help with the legal piece of divorce but there's shortage of financially savvy professionals who can help you navigate the money piece.

I am a nanny.
I *love* my 'work' so much that I will always be working with children and their parents. It's what I was born to do.

I would go back to school and become a doctor. I really think I missed my calling but I am happy where I am. I know, the million would just pay off bill for school, but what a great job it would be. I would be a GP. Maybe next life.

A million isn't enough these days, but I'd keep my job I love (I work for myself), hire someone to do most the work, ands off I'd go to chef school!!

Ha ha -- I agree with all of the PPs that one million would not cause me to make any changes but I think we're expected to use our imaginations -- so I'm going to pretend this was a 10 million dollar enterprise or just take the question to mean independently wealthy. In this case, I would try to write the Novel I think I have in me and my husband and I would probably start recording music together again. We really should do both of those things anyway -- we could make time, but the motivation is missing!

Establish micro-financing/credit projects in developing countries. Or do something related to teaching financial literacy.
