Isn't it a little weird that Charter School Week and Teacher Appreciation Week are the same week?

I'm sorry, but charter school appreciation week is not important.

Absolutely-why the OP feels it needs to be another week is not important either.

I think it's a little early to declare this. It's only Tuesday, after all.

Fair point. I request unanimous consent to amend and revise my prior remarks. "Best trolling post in a week...so far! Mazel tov to the OP."

Hearing no objection, the request is granted.
Nice job, OP!

+1 You'd have to have heard of it for it to steal any limelight.

Why on earth does it matter?? isn't bringing attention to schools and those who work there a GOOD thing???
Tell you what, lets not appreciate ANYONE in any schools ever and then everyone can be equally surly...

Wow. What a complete straw man. I am suggesting that appreciation weeks for both ARE a good thing. But that for those who care about education, it would be good to have the weeks at separate times. Doing them at the same time takes away from the other. Is this a huge deal? No. It is a very minor thing, and I have not ever in this thread said or suggested otherwise. That doesn't make the point less valid.

Yes, let's totally move the anniversary of the first charter school and a national week that has been in place for years because...um. What, again?
