Ina Garten's recipes are simple and useful for relatively inexperienced and unadventurous cooks. Nothing wrong with that -- and even an accomplished home cook will find a few dishes of Ina's that are worth adding to a basic repertoire. But, OP, if you're a confident cook in search of food porn, you're going to find Ina's books a little plain vanilla aren't you?
I don't know much about her techniques / recipes because I don't have any of her books... And have rarely seen her show. I was just more curious as it seems her books are often recommended here.
I have a lot of food porn and ridiculous cookbooks that I rarely get to cook out of (latest addition was the the Joe Beef book and a few weeks befor that, Momofuku- both which I've used but are hardly every day fare), so I'm not completely discounting books that are just a pleasure to read and use.
