Frequent Flier miles expiring, need ideas for a trip

Anonymous
Often with frequent flyer miles you can renew them simply by using a bare minimum of miles for something, for example a magazine subscription. For 900 miles or something you can get Sports Illustrated or Time or the Economist and renew your miles for another few years. Or just rent a car and put it on your airline mileage account. That will renew the other miles as well.

Check your program for details.

You definitely need a car, unless you plan on staying downtown (not recommended as it's just a party/tourist scene).

Toronto is a very cool, walkable city. Miami is fun, but definitely a party. New York, though it can be pretty gnarly in the summer. Those are my ideas!

Ok, 3 people suggested one or both of these and OP agreed. Why are these recommendations for travel that "has to be in the US"?

OP here. The 25K round trip miles would only be enough for travel in the US (excluding Hawaii/Alaska) AND Canada. In the end I was between Vancouver and Seattle and opted for Seattle.
