will I lose weight from cycling

I ride between 100-200mi/week, competitively on the weekends. I've lost 20lbs+ since December when I started for the season, and I eat 3000cal+ per day.

10miles here and there; however, diet is going to be a MUCH bigger factor.

Wow, I bet your job and your spouse love you for this. Do you have young kids?

Thanks for caring.

I'm the person who you quoted.

My job is very pleased with me, and cycling has no influence on that. I'm not sure why you'd even throw that out there?
My wife is very supportive, yes. Yes, we have a child. No, neither is neglected or suffers.

100-200miles a week is easy to put up when its my commute (hey my wife is a big fan that we can share just one car!) and you're in decent shape. My weekly riding time is between 10 and 15 hours on average, which many people sink into TV or video games or other hobbies.

Guess what? We have a balanced life and both care about being healthy and active. Some of my rides even include ..wait for it.. bringing our child along! WOAH
