Since you are in Alexandria, I can also recommend Senor Chicken. It's on Mount Vernon Ave, next to a Popeye's Chicken and across the street from the car wash.

Another vote for super pollo - their sides are delish too!

crisp and juicy! The original one is the one in Rockville but all the others are as good.

Ugh, Crisp and Juicy is terrible. If the majority of patrons don't speak Spanish, you're in the wrong place. Chicken Pollo in Annandale is delish.

El Pollo Rico in Arlington definitely. Crisp and Juicy is a sad imitation.

How does it compare with El Pollo Rico in Arl.? Used to live in Arl. and now in McLean. We have been looking for something closer to McLean.

Are there any fancier places that aren't fast food and more like a dinner place?

Psst, the secrete ingredient is cumin powder. They marinade the chicken overnight with cumin, salt and oil. Roasting it over open flame cooks the skin like bacon which adds to the flavor.

Am I the only one who likes Edy's? Although they have become a lot less authentic over the years.

I've tried them all and this one is close to the top. They have a wide variety of sides (all of them good) and are portions are big.

I do! But not as much as I used to - used to be willing to keep driving out there when we moved, but not anymore.

Chicken Pollo (I think?) on Little River in Annandale is pretty good.

You 2 are wrong. I am Peruvian and can assure you that Crisp and Juicy is the closest to the real Pollo a la Brasa from Peru. the sauces are the best too.
