Family heirlooms you don't really like

20:56 forgot other examples...let my grandmother's china to be auctioned. I had my own, never liked hers which she bought later in life.

Gathered up her crocheted blankets to share with family, but donated some of her more recent unfinished handiwork.

Choose a few pieces to keep, which is sounds like you have. I'd get rid of the rest. I do think asking other relatives if they are interested in an item is a good idea. One needlepoint and one stained glass piece sounds like more than enough...

I would sell them on Craigslist or donate them to a thrift shop.
