I looked online but don't see an actual address. I work down here and can't figure out what building they will be in.

This blog suggests they will occupy a portion of an office building...

13:31 here. I'm not sure what you mean by "fake" I am very real! I am at DCI feeder and while I am hoping DCI works out, I am keeping my options open. No reason why I can't express disappointment that Washington Global sounds like it not be much different than DCI.

So what if they have Chrom books. It does not mean they have to be used all the time and there won't be any printed material.
many MCPS elementary/middle schools use it for small group instruction. it's used no more than an hour per day.

13:31 again. I agree that WGP may use chromebooks differently and in a good way. Guess I've gotten use to assuming the worse! Good middle school options are so limited- it makes it hard be rational sometimes!

International Baccalureate programs are well-respected world wide. It is the organizing program that Deal uses to much success. It is not project based, but it is cross-discipline thematic which means it carries lArge questions and themes across all classes as much as possible. so they may have the same overarching theme running through history, English, math, science and language classes. It's a really great way to organize a school. Not just for the mAterial presented to the students, but also the way the entire needs to work together and communicate goals etc.

The International Middle Years Curriculum is NOT the same as the IB Middle Years Program.

Anyone know of anyone applying/wanting to go to this school? I haven't heard much talk about it.

Agreed, I heard every kid will get 2 Chromebooks, just in case. Never enough technology.

+1

They are not the same. IB MYP is at least a widely used, heavily evaluated curriculum. Does IMYC work? Is it effective at getting students to learn and retain the desired material or methods?
