Lottery Lists for K and up

We also included Cap City as the lone charter.

We are 50/50 on whether we stay put just one more year or move if we do not get a spot anywhere. Trying not to look into housing until we get results back and see where we stand. We rent, so it can be a quick process if we take the "move" route.

Where are you now? Your list matches mine exactly

We are at one of the more highly regarded, or maybe you'd call it "up and coming," EOTP DCPS schools.

Jesus Mary and Joseph - why on earth does Murch has spots? They are rezoning all of ward 3 because Murch is over crowded! Oy.

For K, we put in for MV and Oyster.

Because the school gets more money for more kids. Next question?

I'm the PP who said I listed Murch. I think that just because they SAID that they will have spots doesn't mean they'll actually give any way if they turn out being at capacity or over-enrolled at the lottery draw time. I don't think the My School #s are promises, just estimates for what might be open when they pull the #s. Similarly, 100 kids could pull out of Janney and then the people who list it would get some spots. Won't happen, but if it did they'd end up giving spots away in the lottery, don't you think?

They are definitely not promises, and the school can adjust them prior to the information being finalized for the lottery run. But the school won't have any more information on who is coming back for next year before the lottery; DCPS registration does not start until 4/1, which is after the lottery results come up.
