I am really surprised we have not gotten a phone call today. If not today than definitely tomorrow? How many days before the letter did you receive the call? I know that I need to chill the f out but I am naturally a super impatient person so this is killing me.

Wow. Assuming acceptance are we? That's a degree of arrogance (stupidity?) I haven't seen on DCUM for a while!

No dumb dumb I am not. We are a sibling family and sibling families are usually notified by phone in advance. It's not just new applicants on this forum. Guess that didn't occur to you. Even as a sibling applicant I would not assume that my child is accepted which is very reason I have been posting on this snarky evil forum. But thanks so much!

Just to add to my previous post, I realized that I reacted in anger I should not have called anyone dumb dumb. I responded exactly in the manner I find so terrible. Like I said before, if I was so sure my child was going to be admitted I would not have posted on this forum in the first place. Resolved to officially get off this forum, it just breeds so much nastiness.

Monday is March 2.

Does anyone know when they mail out the notifications?

You're right. You really need to get off this forum, as you are contributing greatly to the snark.

So do ALL accepted students get a phone call? Does that mean if you haven't gotten a phone call by Monday or Tuesday, you can assume your child was WL or rejected?

1. I thought you were provoked;
2. I found "dumb dumb" sort of a fun throwback (and not that bad);
3. Don't feel too guilty!

Moving on from the snark, does anyone know the answer to 15:19's question?

Do accepted families (sibling or not) get a phone call?
Anonymous
Mailing March 1... I think if sibs weren't going to be accepted they would receive a phone call and know by now so they could consider other options. IMO

We are not a sibling family, and didn't get our phone call until the day after we received the letter, and an email the day after that (Saturday, Sunday, Monday). In addition to the uncertainty of mail, current parents make the phone calls, so sometimes it could be just a matter of when they have a spare minute!

Beauvoir parent here. Last year the letters arrived on Saturday, March 1. I'm not sure of the plan this year as I don't have an applicant.

Admissions recently asked for volunteers to call admitted families. I volunteered and haven't heard from them yet so I'm pretty certain no phone calls are being made yet.

We went to Open City this afternoon and the Head of School was there, I imagine AD too.

Hang in there!! Last year was so hard for me! It will all work out.

PP here, I should clarify, HOS was not at Open City! I saw her car at school.

That would be lovely!!!! Thanks for providing hope. The Snow Day today makes the week seem so much longer. Anxiously awaiting . . . Were you a sibling or legacy application? Do you love the school?

Not the above poster but we are a sibling family--have not heard yet and yes we really love the school and the parent body. Could not be a nicer, more welcoming, and down to earth place.

I'm so relieved. We are a sibling family and we have not hear anything yet- I was too scared to ask on here.,I'm pretty sure that last year I got a call in the last week of February. Anyway, relieved to hear sibling families haven't yet heard.

Does anyone know whether NON-sibling families get a phone call, too?

Admissions did not call us when our second child was accepted. We did find out earlier via mail though.
