We have bigger problems than a big mouth shock jock-entertainer. Wasn't Obama supposed to rise above it all? All he is doing is giving Rush a bigger audience and for SURE a ratings push. I guess pigs will be pigs and roll in the mud together.

I wonder if it is not calculated. Rush basically promotes the idea that he hopes Obama will fail. The fact that many people suspect Congressional Republicans feel the same way when they voted down the recovery plan has been damaging to the party, and giving Limbaugh air time makes the Republicans look bad. Plus, giving legitimacy to Limbaugh has made it hard for Republicans to get their own leadership in order. Rush will never be a party leader, only a loudmouth disruptor. But he can become a symbol of what is wrong with the Republicans in this term.

Considering the white house is now in a spitting match with Jim Cramer, it seems to be a habit.

It is calculated. I just got an email from Democrats.org taunting Rush: http://www.democrats.org/rushbillboard I don't think I would do it, but it fascinates me that this is a deliberate attempt to scramble the Republican Party.

Hopefully, most people realize that Rush is not a spokesperson for the Republican party, just a big old windbag. It would be funny if this tactic backfired on the administration.
