Yogurt types for baby

I looked at the YoBaby products and was shocked at the amount of sugar in them. I think it was about 24 grams per serving! They are sickeningly sweet. It's unfortunate that those are about the only brands that have flavored whole milk yogurts. I'd stick with plain yogurt and mix in some fruit if needed.

My twins have always had plain whole milk (Greek or regular) from the start. Still love it at 2.5. Better not to get them used to the sugary stuff at all.

I give mine YoBaby. They're fine. Good lord.

YoBaby has a ton of sugar. 12 grams per serving. For comparison, five Chips Ahoy have 11 grams of sugar.

I buy plain whole milk yogurt with no added sugar. Sometimes I'll add a spoonful of jam or honey as a dessert treat.

Yes. Stonyfield has wayyy too much sugar in their yogurt products. And if you're adding fruit puree to that, you're increasing it even more.

We buy only Greek yogurt...Fage 0% for us olds, Dannon Oikos full fat (coconut, banana cream) for the kid. I'm not wedded to Dannon, but it's really hard to find full fat Greek yogurt anywhere.

Well, then you might as well feed them a Magnum mini ice cream bar. Same or less amount of sugar.

YoBaby's are great because they come in single serve sizes and they are available in plain. I know they have them at the TKPK coop, maybe WF too? My DD seems to like the plain just as much as the flavored. We started giving them to DD around 7 or 8 months? At first they generated big poops, so we did 2 or 3 per week, but now (10 mos) she has one at daycare everyday.

Yes, thanks to people like you who buy Fage 0% in a mistaken belief that fat makes you fat or is bad for you. I really hate that I can't get the full-fat version anywhere anymore. Fortunately, TJ's still has full fat Greek yogurt. I often make a special trip to TJ's just for that.

Relax killer, a banana has 14 g of sugar in it.

Big difference btwn added sugars and naturally occuring sugars in fruit. Jeez why do you think we have an obesity epidemic in this country?? Added sugar in everything!

Some yogurts have more sugar than a twinkie! Would you be ok with your baby eating a twinkie for breakfast?

I think yobaby actually has more sugar than regular "adult" flavored yogurt. That's why I just stopped buying yobaby and serving adult yogurt (and greek is less sweet).

"Killer"? I'm not a native speaker, is that the new insult people fling around here when they disagree?
