Maybe try some of the better consignment shops- you might land a Chanel or something really nice.
Banana Republic is wool. Seriously, go to Banana Republic. Current-looking, good quality, and affordable.
+1 for both Theory and Tahari. Try Neimans, Saks or the Theory outlet. Also, there is a St. John's outlet on the highway out to St. Michael's. It might be worth a trip.
PP here- Bloomingdales is a good option too! I find their selection more modern and stylish than Nordstrom.
+1 also - Nordstroms carries Theory, there's a Tahari store in tyson's 2 |
Brooks brother.
The Limited.
Theory
zara or even HM, more contemporary
ditto on banana republic
Banana Republic used to be wool, good quality. Suits have gone down significantly in quality - lots more poly, and the fit is looking more grandma than Ann Taylor suits looks in 2002. I've also been trying to find a a few new suits to round out my closet, and have been having a heck of a time. So many of the mid range brands have started using poly. Places like the Limited aren't really interview appropriate, as they are tight in the bum and thighs thanks to the stretchy poly. It also seems to be a bad era of suit-style -- even the theory ones look really unflattering these days. I'm at a loss.
Jcrew has wool. I love all of mine.
Theory- there is an outlet in leesburg that carries all the same stuff that they have at saks/neimans
I just bought 2 theory suits. They are wonderful, hang beautifully, and last and last. Worth it, especially if you find them at the Outlets.
I have to say I found Theory lacking. I think the sizing doesn't work for me.
