I stand corrected. Solid. I'm stuck in the 90s. |
no classier schools can't keep track of campus massacres, dining hall beheadings, lacrosse rape/murders or shower slapping sounds. |
It seemed cute but desperate to me. If I got into Harvard, I'd want a parade. UMD? Not so much |
Apparently they called the parents first to make sure the kids would be home and that it was OK to stage a home invasion.
The kids are the ones who applied, so they should find out first. It would have been interesting if one of the kids had burst into tears and asked the parents "Does this mean I have to go in-state?" |
Harvard is too expensive to really feel like you're winning lol, |
I'm sure only the most expensive private school is good enough for your snowflake. The money you spend will never equal the money you make. Employers won't care if it's UMD or Harvard. In the end, only one will be paying off a ridiculous amount in student loans. |
Sorry, previous comment was supposed to respond to the mention that UMD was a mediocre-minus school. |
I love the part where the student talks about getting to the National Mall "like in 10 minutes." It's more like 30-35 minutes to the Smithsonian station and that doesn't even include getting from the campus to the station and waiting for a train. But I guess that's the bombastic hype you'd expect from UMD. |
