Yes

Thread?
OP, if this is the case, you might consider spending your energy asking for therapist recommendations rather than hair coloring suggestions. I actually think you may be trying to do that because you threw in the "I don't want my mother to know" teaser. Just come right out and ask for some therapy help to overcome your need to be dominated by your mother.

I actually want hair advice but I don't want it to look colored. I want it to look natural so my mom won't know if I see her in a few months.

OP, you're missing the whole point. You have bigger issues than your hair color.

You could also consider a semi- permanent or one of those brush ins like men use?

All that being said, if you're so stressed out with your mom 3000 miles away, you're going to be completely haggard and grey soon anywya so what's the point?

If I was an adult (assuming you are, and my Mother wouldn't "let" me colour my hair, I imagine I'd be dyed fuchsia. Maybe with blue highlights.

What does brush brought all of your hair so it isn't splotchy mean? Does that mean the color wouldn't only be on the greys but the rest as well? That's what I don't want. I only want it on a few strands by my face. Currently I've been trying to cut out the strands that are grey.

Yes, you will sit so the colour processes on the grey, then the pull through the rest of the hair for a more even appearance. You WANT this, because it doesn't bring attention to the dyed strands. They would match your natural colour, so it doesn't look different, just more even.

If you're that spooked, then I suggest embracing the grey. Sooner or later, you'll be bald from cutting it out, grey, or colored.

You really need to see a therapist, you know that?

If you're old enough for gray hair, you're old enough to act without running for Mommy all the time.

Nice N Easy root touch up.
And therapy. Seriously.

Omg. My mother would tell me to die that shit.

I still remember her telling my sister to put some lipstick on when she was in High School.

She isn't even from the South- she's from Connecticut.

I can't control what my mother lets me do. That's on her. But my question is about my hair.

Then why would you mention your mother?

weird

NP here. I would actually like an answer to OP's question. My hair gets very frizzy when I dye it, but I'm getting enough gray that I'm going to have to do something. I tried semi-perm color and I could see the gray again the next day.

(FYI: My mom has no opinion on my hair. However she does still tell me my skirts are too short if they don't hit the knee. I'm 30!)
