re: shopping for lingerie, candles, etc. Look, I'd be happy if we were sleeping in the same bed again. Right now I'm working on making the bed comfortable enough for her to sleep in, so she's not propped up in a bunch of pillows in a recliner in the TV room. I bought her a couple of sexy pregnancy nighties for Christmas...and she liked them, but no, this is way past that.

Right now I'm focussing on pampering my wife while she's enduring this very uncomfortable pregnancy.

Just get your action elsewhere. No one would blame you for it - other than your wife if she found out. But you can't be expected to remain celibate because she is pregnant.

Men will never admit it, because we don't want to criticized, but pregnant bodies are just not particularly sexy to men (although a minority of men fetishize it).

It makes evolutionary sense, if you think about it. Men are generally attracted to whatever leads to successful reproduction. Sleeping with pregnant women is guaranteed to not lead to reproduction, and most men are not into it.

That doesn't excuse callously rejecting your pregnant, horny wife, but if you find that your DH isn't initiating as much, don't hold it against him. He also might be trying to not pressure or hurt you if you're very pregnant.

DH likes thin slender women with big boobs.

I have the big boobs, but my slender waist is now taken over by my uterus at 28 weeks.

He blames it on the cliche excuse of not wanting to hurt the baby, but we both know the bump is weird to him and just is not into it.

Sex probably decreased during pregnancy but only 25% and only because physical tiredness on her part, not my lack of desire. Then 6 weeks of hands-off per dr's orders... She gave me a bj once a week, I miss those...
