no kiss on first date = no second date?

I don't kiss. But I usually tell them upfront

I was always nervous on the first date. I did not want to be too forward....So I would always ask...May I hold your hand, etc...

I did not kiss my now DW on the first date, because it was clear she was nervous. I had kissed (and more) with others, though. With DW, we kissed on date 2....in the rain in Annapolis.

Not necessarily.

Men do not want to seem too aggressive/pushy too soon as to look like they are out for sex and sex only.

They want to appear respectful so he may be acting like a perfect gentleman.

Married 20 years in March- I had sex with DH on the first date.

Usually had a two date rule about kissing but that pretty much went out the window that time.
There's no right or wrong.

Met my DH 5 years ago and also no kiss on the first date. I think there was a kiss on the second date. But then we didn't sleep together for at least 6 - 8 weeks. He's a wonderful guy and there's plenty of kissing now.

20+ years and I slept with DW on first date. Had never done anything past kissing before on initial time. Even today, I tell her that our first date was the one true moment that something happened to me worthy of a letter to Penthouse.
