It must be annoying, OP. Sympathies to you. My MIL does the same kind of thing. I try to tune it out, but it can get annoying. Just repeat the mantra that you're glad you're not them and you know better. |
So if your dad left everything to your mom, and your mom gave it all to your sister, how was your dad supposed to give her more? If that's really how the conversation went down, I don't know how you can interpret it as anything other than the ramblings of a crazy person. |
OP here. Exactly. What is the man supposed to do from the grave? How was he supposed to not give himself a heart attack trying to keep her closets full? It makes me lose all respect for her; and it makes me grateful that I know better. But listening to her crazy get old quick. I just want to tell her to shut up and be grateful she got what she did. |
OP here. This. And when I hear people waiting for their MILs (usually, but it applies to mothers, too) to die, because they think they will get the MILs money, I want to enlighten them. Don't count on anything, and live your life as if you are getting nothing from anyone, because you never know! Doing for yourself only does yourself good. I think it bothers my mother that I don't need her money, frankly. |
Sorry OP. Read this cause I thought you might be my brother, lol. You are not, but my Mom is also upset I am not "rich" but I really don't care about being rich. I also don't need her money. |
+1 OP here. Cheers to not wanting their money! ![]() |
Thank God you have money because I can't understand a word you are saying. Your writing skills are horrific. |
Tell your Mom with words or actions that you will not be a witness to this topic of discussion. |
Ideas how? It's tiresome - kind of like the unconstructive PP. OP here. |
