Because their is no logical explanation for time, matter , physics , math and intelligent order in general.

No, it isn't. If you need faith to believe in it then how do you know it is the truth? With faith you could believe in absolutely anything at all.

Here we go again... the old cycling argument...

If you would open your eyes and open your mind, you would know that God is Truth. But you've already decided that you are right and the hundreds of millions of people throughout human history who have had a personal relationship with God -- many through Jesus Christ -- are wrong.

Therefore, you are denying yourself the Truth. God says, that's fine. Have it your way. Continue to believe your lies and follow your own merry way. What am I supposed to say?

OP here. I think you failed to read my post, so why bother commenting on it?

WHAT!?! You should maybe go back to school. Maybe your brain has a harder time with the sciences, which is fine as we all have our strengths and weaknesses. Though these things are very well known and easy to understand if you want to take the time to understand them. Also, I believe you meant *there, not their.

If you need a belief in God in order to love them I feel sorry for you.

To go to heaven you have to die. Unless I know otherwise, God exists for me.

It makes no sense that life exists. It makes no sense that rocks exist for that matter. We all got here somehow. And that is why even very logical people believe in God. But it's just something that ypu know us true in your heart.

The God is truth argument was dismissed too hastily as too simple-minded.

This is not simple minded at all. Absolute truth exists.

Let us take the simple example of a shooting in a crowd, with ensuing chaos. Those present will report on what they saw, but they all had different vantages and each statement can be viewed at best as a small glimmer of the truth. However, there is one absolute truth to exactly what happened, even if we can only hope to get it approximated by witness interviews, forensic evidence etc.

God is this absolute truth and religion is our search for that truth. All those who pursue God are like Diogenes.

Why not? Really? That is a ridiculous argument! Why not believe in unicorns, jackalopes, and the old lady that lived in a shoe?

Religion provides community. Praying has medicinal value. People who have a religion are happier and healthier.

If there was that much benefit from believing in the others I would believe in those also.

Did you actually read the link?

You don't have to believe to attend a church community. Prayer has no medicinal value-- stress relief, maybe. And the last point is just plain not true.

Sure you don't have to attend a church but it is one way to be part of a community... which has show to add value to happiness.

Yes, Prayer has show to provide the same value as meditation, religion provides the framework around which prayer is done on a regular basis.

Yes, it is true. People who practice a religion are happier and healthier. Just like married men are on average happier and healthier. Sorry if that bothers you.

Because there are no consequences for NOT believing in those things but there are for not believing in God? Did you even read the wiki page?

There is an imaginary consequence for not believing and that does not effect me. I am familiar with Pascal's wager and it has no impact on my belief structure.

Then don't believe and don't judge those who decide to believe.

Please site your source if you'd like to be taken seriously. Otherwise state your opinions as such and not as facts.

I am tired of educating lazy DCUM posters. You provide links that show this is not true... or just google it and see that it is true.

Are you saying we already know everything there is to know about science so we should stop doing research?

RomaNs 1;18-22: "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they obecame futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools."

This is my reason. God has revealed Himself in His creation. It is ordered, and through it you can see his eternal might. And those who reject this evidence have no excuse for doing so, and they do so because they do not want to submit to the righteousness of God. There is no other reason not to believe in a God, except to have your own say over what is right and wrong.
