How much do you spend on your children for Christmas?

Kids are 4 and 1 as well. About $175 and $100, and they get gifts from six other family members.

Four kids. Between $800 and $1k TOTAL.

About $150 for a 5 year old girl. Most expensive present was a $60 Lego set.

wow a lot of these answers seem really extravagant to me. we spend maybe $100 per kid (ages 6 and 4) and we make 700k a year. at this age, they haven't been trained yet to demand a lot and we want to avoid that if at all possible. we do contribute 800 per kid into a 529 for xmas though. i think the kids already have enough "stuff" and don't want to add to the clutter.

Entirely too much. Probably $700 on a 2.5 yr old.

Us, too. Those lighting deals on Amazon really add up.

I spent $50 on my 9 year old DD, and $33 on my 5 year old DS, one gift each. DH will get stocking stuffers for them, spending about $30 total for that.

I was raised the same - one gift & a stocking. I can't even imagine how to spend the amount some of you are spending! Where do you keep all that stuff? (Assuming that's the way it is every year and on birthdays, that's just a ton of stuff!). I realize we are on the very minimal end of the spectrum but we still feel like we have too much stuff.

I spent a total of $165 for both kids, and it felt like a lot. The grandparents will get another few things for them. We celebrate Hannukah, so each kid gets 8 presents, 1 bigger one and the rest small.

one gift each? i am so doing that from now on. think about what you really want and that is it. thanks PP

(to answerOP's question, i spent close to $200! only make about $75,000. too much!!)

Two children, 4 and 9.
About $250 per child, so $500 total.
Their grandparents also give them gifts, maybe two hundred euros total.

These totals are for a few expensive items, not a slew of plastic junk, and we recently donated their outgrown toys. So clutter is not an issue in our small house.
I noticed my children actually have the least amount of toys compared to their friends!

140 on the 4 year old and nothing on the 6 month old. Grandparents and aunts/uncles will also get them plenty

Maybe $125 or $150 each.
