My DD hates sandwiches but I am always trying. What's on your avocado sandwich? Thanks!

We usually do a PB sandwich or slices of pepperoni/salami with a cheese stick and crackers. I also pack a fruit and a vegetable.

Mini bagels are great for making sandwiches.

It's just plain avocado squished onto whole wheat bread with a fork. Kind of weird, but that's what he likes. Sometimes I'll add a slice of turkey for protien, though he prefers his avocado straight

If DD doesn't like sandwhich, how about baked empanadas? I sometimes make a whole bunch (bean and cheese, ground beef, pizza sauce and spinach and cheese, or whatever I have handy) and freeze them, then all I have to do is pop one in the toaster oven in the morning to defrost. It's actually quicker than putting together a sandwich and making them isn't too bad either especially if you buy the empanada rounds already made.

My kids hate sandwiches. I pack them mac and cheese (I don't use a thermos, just regular tupperware, and they eat it room temp); quesadillas; toasted bagel with cream cheese; pasta with evoo and fresh mozzarella balls; and yes hot dogs once a week. For the side I pack some variation on fruit or veg, and chips or pretzels or a go gurt.
