One night or two at great wolf lodge?

Anonymous
Two of our three kids are still napping so we do two nights. We arrive around 4PM, hit the waterpark, and then go out to a late-ish dinner. Then on the next full day, we hit the waterpark in the morning, eat lunch that we brought. While two kids nap, DH takes the third kid back to the waterpark or to the bowling alley and arcade (and/or magiquest thing). Then dinner off-site and back in time for storytime stuff. On the next check-out day we give kids the option of hitting the waterpark again in the morning or doing the other stuff. Worked for us! We go to the one in Williamsburg so we sometimes go into colonial Williamsburg on check-out day too. We don't do late check-out.

We did 2 nights. 1 night would have felt rushed.

Bring your own towels and eat off site!

Do they charge for towels??

This truly made me laugh out loud. Wonder what the third night's freebie is?

A hepatitis test?
Just kidding, I've never been. But this thread is very interesting!

No, but they are a little flimsy, and they run out sometimes.

Is there a way to do this for less money? I just looked up one room for the 4 of us (me, DH, DS x2) and one night will cost us $500. That seems outrageous!

Go to the Massanutten Waterpark instead. Book a hotel in Harrisonburg or a Massanutten condo. It's a lot cheaper.

Are you a member of AAA? If so, that knocks some money off the price. Also, there are lots of different kinds of rooms. Some are cheaper than others.

What day are you looking for? How many nights?

That indoor water park in the winter with all those sick sniffling kiddos. YUCK!

One night is PLENTY! Please don't waste your money on a second night. The rooms are overpriced, the food is awful and quite honestly, our kids were really tired of the water park by the end of our first day there...we didn't even go back the next morning....went on a historic Williamsburg tour instead.

We just came back and because everyone said one night, I was surprised at how much fun we had. We stayed two nights. We got there late on Monday night. On Tuesday, we went to the waterpark, then did magic quest pretty much until they turned it off at 11 pm. Got up the next day and did water park, then magic quest again until 5 pm when we finally hit the road to come home. We also did story time and the arcade. I hadn't realized how much extra money we would spend on Magic Quest and the arcade. Our kids are 8 and 10 though so maybe that makes a difference. When we got home, my 8 year old kept asking what she could use her wand for at home.
