| Graham crackers and Vanilla wafers are pretty minimalist but home baked also has benefits. I think moderation is the key. If you decide to have a cookie, have one you enjoy..but don't make them a regular habit. |
Try these 3 ingredients oatmeal cookies! They are divine: http://mywholefoodlife.com/2014/11/01/3-ingredient-oatmeal-cookies/ |
| Don't make cookies a regular habit? OMG, would hate to live like that. Don't eat a box in one sitting, but a cookie after dinner every day isn't going to do anyone any harm. |

Easy Raw Cookies!
1 cup blanched slivered almonds or sprouted almonds 8-10 pitted medjool dates (or more of the smaller kind) 3/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut pinch of salt Pulverize in food processor. Add a few drops of water at a time until mixture starts getting sticky. Enough so that if you pinch it with your fingers, it stays together. At this point you can stir in carob chips or chopped dark chocolate if you want. Then make balls with your hands, or press into silicone mold, or whatever. Keep refrigerated. |
Have you had the dark chocolate and sea salt KIND bar? It's delicious, has some fiber and protein and has only 5 grams of sugar. |
|
It's not just the sugar in the Oreos that's unhealthy, it's the flour, which your body treats like a sugar, and spikes your blood sugar.
Second the suggestion for the Kind bars. |
Definitely trying these, thanks!! |
OP, I just came on to post the exact same thing! When I get a craving for a small cookie like thing, I often buy these in the grocery store. http://www.medjooldates.com/Organic_Date_Almond_Roll.asp Just one or two fill my craving easily. |
I have convinced my kids that these are super special cookies. They love them. |
