SWWFS is a regular old DCPS school. It just happens to also serve as the DCPS center for excellence for children with low vision and children with autism.

great news! how does this model differ from the special needs preschools in VA and MD? I always read about those programs, and they seem more comprehensive and accesible than what we have in DC, where everything seems atomized.

No matter how many times DC is called into court for their incompetence they still find ways to screw up and cheat children!!

It isn't a preschool. We were told by our developmental pediatrician that this program was going to be like the Model Asperger's Program and that it started in third grade but this was when the program was still at the proposed stage so unless things have changed, it isn't a preschool program and it is for kids with Asperger's/ASD.
