I was much more productive today than usual at work, so there's that. |
Why do you run your own servers and database? Have you thought of moving to aws? |
I asked him that yesterday, basically he's a control freak and wants them in house ![]() Site is slow for me as of 9:20pm EST. |
Jeff's an admitted control freak. ![]() Thanks for all your hard work. I felt bereft, like I'd suddenly lost a bunch of friends ... |
Hang in there. |
Admittedly, the evanescence of DCUM from the interwebs was discomfiting. However, I personally took advantage of the interregnum to cogitate upon the largess of the English language, committing myself to summating a minimum of five neoteric shibboleths per hour. I found the experience most edifying.
Also, I had a coupon at Total Wine. Thank God. |
Yes, and sometimes it still loads part of the page and then sits there. I figured the servers are trying to keep up. |

Try New Relic to see where the transactions spend most of their time. It is free for the first 30 days. |
+1 |
Thanks. I'm looking into this now. I'm also running Oracle's Enterprise Monitor which works with MySQL (now owned by Oracle). That's not telling me a whole lot. |
Thanks. This is hilarious and, right now, might be my all time favorite post on DCUM. |
With the new servers, hardware is no longer an issue. All the servers are running at very low loads. Any problems now are in software. Those would be the same whether we were running on AWS or my own hardware. What I need more than anything is someone who knows Mysql Cluster in their sleep. |
