Of course. |
WHERE????? |
This is because some people have stopped looking for jobs, believing that they aren't out there. |
| So, what job did you end up getting, OP, and how much does it pay? |
Which is why people don't take part-time retail jobs paying $15/hr. With variable shifts daycare doesn't make sense, so you end up hiring a sitter to watch your kids while you work, and after taxes you've lost money on the arrangement. |
No. That's for people who take pride in their appearance and use correct grammar. Sorry, but when I hire someone they are the face of the company. If you cannot use standard English you do not represent the company well. If you do not look like you care about your appearance, why would you care about the way the organization looks? I don't care if you are black, white, brown, or purple. Just don't walk into an interview using Ebonics and expect me to hire you for a position that requires you to interact with the public. |
|
However, you will hire Pueblo and Esmerelda to work the registers and they can't even speak clear English. |
Why Ebonics? Racist much? |
Are you shocked that it is high or that it is low? |
| My 18 year old sister gets $15 for retail. She's been with them for a year. Retail at mall. |
Ha! You are getting a steal. I made $15 as a babysitter 10 years ago for a 3 year old/35 hours week. |
Are your kids older? I'm hearing 20-22/hour for my infant and two year old. It's not really worth it for us to go out at that rate. |
Sounds normal to me if it's much older kids. ($15) . Friends with younger kids are paying $15-18 for one and around 22 to 25 for two |
| Wow, I should take up babysitting. While looking for work in my preferred career, I've been doing part-time number punching/data entry/payroll for a small business, where they pay only $12 an hour. |
